Rajanikanth ‘ KAALA’ Hit the screen with Havoc

Superstar-politician Rajinikanth’s film ‘Kaala movie’ was released across the country today.

Pro-Kannada groups had appealed against the film’s release, upset with Rajinikanth over his comments on the Cauvery river dispute between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

‘Kaala’ release in Karnataka comes as the first big test for the new chief minister HD Kumaraswamy.

Earlier he said that the film should not be released in his state “in the present situation”.

Fans offered milk to the poster of  and burst crackers before gathering in large numbers to watch  Rajanikanth ‘ KAALA’ in theaters.

The huge response came after K. Rajasekhara filed a plea seeking to defer the release of the film because of the Cauvery water sharing dispute between Karnataka and Tamil Nadu.

The Supreme Court had refused to stay the release of the film on Wednesday.

A vacation bench of the apex court, headed by Justice Adarsh Kumar Goel and also comprising Justice Ashok Bhushan, stated it did not find any merit in the application.

The Top Court, while refusing to stay the film, had said, “Everybody is waiting for the film to be released. We don’t want to interfere with its release”.
